Borne et al., reported on efciency enhancement of 0.88 by integrating a layer of Si 0.92Ge0 0.08 in the emitter region of the Si solar cell 26. Predicted enhancement in efciency was 0.7 at 20 Ge content for 20-lm cell thickness 25.
